Lisbon, 02 Dec 2019 (Lusa) – The Portuguese beach soccer team, which became world champion on Sunday, will be received on Tuesday by the President of the Republic, at the Palace of Belém, announced the Presidency of the Republic earlier today.

Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, who congratulated the national team on Sunday, just after the by 6-4 triumph in the World Cup final with Italy, will receive the delegation at 13:45 in the Hall of Bicas (Sala das Bicas).

The team led by Mario Narciso, who repeated the triumphs of the “quinas” team (quinas refers to the Portuguese flag which features five shields) in 2001 and 2015, arrives in Portugal on Tuesday, at 07:00, from Asuncion, Paraguay, where the competition took place.

Campeões mundiais de futebol de praia recebidos por Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa

Lisboa, 02 dez 2019 (Lusa) – A seleção portuguesa de futebol de praia, que no domingo se sagrou campeã mundial, vai ser recebida na terça-feira pelo Presidente da República, no Palácio de Belém, anunciou hoje a Presidência da República.

Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, que felicitou a seleção nacional no domingo, logo após o triunfo na final do Mundial sobre a Itália, por 6-4, receberá a comitiva às 13:45, na Sala das Bicas.

A equipa orientada por Mário Narciso, que reeditou os triunfos da ‘equipa das quinas’ de 2001 e 2015, chega a Portugal na terça-feira, às 07:00, proveniente de Assunção, no Paraguai, onde decorreu a competição.
