Caixa Alfama in Lisbon – September 23 & 24 of 2016

Fadista Filipa Cardoso Vaz was one of the performers at the 3rd annual Caixa Alfama event held on Sep 23rd and 24th of 2016.

Caixa Alfama Fado Festival started in 2013, and it takes place at little plazas on the heart of Alfama. In this year’s edition the Festival had 10 separate venues and count with more than 40 fado singers. Feel Portugal in USA was present this year and had the opportunity to register many wonderful moments. This event reinforced the reason why in 2011, Fado was considered Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
