Internationally-renowned award-winning composers and directors of the Manhattan Camerata, Lucía Caruso and Pedro H. da Silva (NYU composition faculty), need your support for the recording of their two historic concertos — including the first Portuguese guitar concerto in history and a unique piano concerto.

They will be working with the musical director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Bruce O’Neil, and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields at Abbey Road Studios in London.

Lucía Caruso (Argentinean-born composer and pianist) and Dr. Pedro H. da Silva (Portuguese composer, multi-instrumentalist, and NYU composition and classical guitar faculty) are both award-winning composers and founders of the Manhattan Camerata.

They have performed at the most prestigious concert halls all over the world, including: Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, the Palace of Versailles, the Louvre Museum, and Kew Royal Palace in London, among many others.

Active in film, they have worked on two feature films with Oscar-winner Michel Gondry, and have just won an award this May 2019 at the Cannes Film Festival for Best Emerging Documentary at the American Pavilion.

They both founded Light and Sound Film Scoring and have three documentaries made about them.

This campaign is to support their recording at the legendary Abbey Road Studios this July. They will be recording their two original and historic concertos, and their joint composition “Folia,” with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, arguably the best chamber orchestra in the world.

This will be the most important recording in their careers up to now. They appreciate any help possible to reach this dream and thank you for the support!
