“De Cá P’ra Lá” The first late-night talk show from the diaspora to RTP Açores.

“De Cá P’ra Lá” is the first late-night talk show produced in the diaspora for the RTP Açores. Made in New Bedford, MA, and hosted by Ricardo Farias it is Inspired by the American night show format and focuses on the success of local artists, and personalities from the Portuguese community in the USA. 

The new talk show premiered on November 2nd and included interviews, musical guests, lots of comedy sketches, and the live performance of the house band “Casa do Galo”. |]’

The production is done by Promedia Audio Visual studios owned by Floriano Cabral.

The program also marks the return of Ricardo Farias to the TV screens after the end of “Hora Quente” a similar talk show produced by a local Portuguese TV Station. On his Facebook page, Ricardo thanked his fans and his team for their support on this successful return.

"Today I returned. After a year and a half away from my profession I started
a new personal and professional chapter today. All the chapters, good or bad, 
have led me to this new stage. I feel very happy to be able to go back to 
doing what I do well. It is a source of pride to see our work being 
transmitted across the Atlantic. I thank those who bet on us and for the trust.

It is very important to emphasize the word WE. When the previous chapter 
ended, there was someone who immediately and without the slightest hesitation 
walked by my side to write this new professional chapter together.

His name is Floriano Cabral, my brother of many adventures over almost 20 
years. It was he who in 2005 gave me the opportunity to do television for the 
first time, and it was he who in 2021 was responsible for this return to TV 
after a brief interregnum. Apart from my family, he is my biggest supporter. 

This is no surprise because to me he is family. THANK YOU FLO, there are no 
words. You are great and never stop doing what makes you happy.

The program “De Cá P’ra Lá” is a team effort. If I may, I want to recognize 
everyone.

Casadogalo, my friends Mario Brum Porch Gueese, Paul Andrade, Chris Oliveira, 
and Luis Silva, thank you for all your dedication, passion, and pure talent.

seen me in a  way they never had before and have always been a comfort and 
support when I thoughtof giving up.

I don’t know what the future holds but for now I know I am doing what I love

Floriano Cabral, the talk show producer, also used his Facebook account to thank his team and the community in general for all the support to set up the entire production, and for the success of the program.

The calm, before the excitement. The road has been a long and hard one; from 
designing to building a new space but I wouldn’t change a thing.

Every Friday night it’s like reuniting with friends and family, it’s fun, not 
work. I couldn’t be more proud and excited about this new challenge, for 
different reasons, but the two major ones are the amazing and dedicated 
"Casa Do Galo" Band and the outstanding host I call friend Ricardo Farias, 
this community doesn’t know how lucky they are to have you as their 
representative in the Azores and soon the world.

Our most gratitude to the people that complement our vision and make it that 
much better; Mario Brum, Chris Oliveira, Paul Andrade, Luis Silva, Jonathan 
Brum, Nuno Capataz, and Chris Teixeira.

“De Cá P’ra Lá” é o primeiro talk show produzido na diáspora para a RTP Açores. Feito em New Bedford, MA e apresentado por Ricardo Farias é inspirado no formato do talk show nocturno americano, e centra-se no sucesso de artistas locais, e personalidades da comunidade portuguesa nos EUA. 

O novo talk-show estreou a 2 de Novembro e incluiu entrevistas, convidados musicais, vários momentos de comédia, e a actuação ao vivo da banda da casa “Casa do Galo”. A produção é feita pelos estúdios da Promedia Audio Visual, propriedade de Floriano Cabral.

O programa marca também o regresso de Ricardo Farias aos ecrãs de TV após o final de “Hora Quente”, um talk show semelhante, produzido por uma estação de televisão local portuguesa.

Na sua página do Facebook, Ricardo Faria teve a oportunidade de agradecer aos seus fãs e à sua equipa pelo seu apoio a este regresso bem sucedido.

 Hoje eu regressei. Após um ano e meio de afastamento da minha profissão comecei hoje um novo capítulo pessoal e profissional. Todos os capítulos, bons ou maus, levaram-me a esta nova etapa. Sinto muito feliz em poder voltar a fazer aquilo que me faz bem. É motivo de orgulho ver o nosso trabalho a ser transmitido para o outro lado doAtlântico. Agradeço a quem em nós apostou e pela confiança.

É muito importante realçar a palavra NÓS. Quando o anterior capítulo terminou houve quem imediatamente e sem a minima hesitação caminhou sempre ao meu lado para juntos escrevermos este novo capítulo profissional.

Ele chama-se Floriano Cabral, meu irmão de muitas aventuras ao longo de quase 20 anos. Foi ele que em 2005 me deu oportunidade de fazer televisão pela primeira vez e foi ele em 2021 o responsável por este regresso à TV após um breve interregno.
