The International Portuguese Music Awards announced this year’s IPMA nominees for their 8th annual award show, presented by Tiverton Casino Hotel. IPMA will present their awards on April 25 at 6:30PM, at the majestic Zeiterion Theatre located in historic downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts. Portuguese-American actress Daniela Ruah, who is best known for her role on NCIS: Los Angeles, is set to host the event.

Awards will be presented in thirteen different categories. This year’s nominee’s hail from eight different countries and five continents. In addition, two artists have been chosen as finalists in the “New Talent” category.  They will compete by performing live at the awards show. People’s Choice Award

An additional category is the Azores Airlines People’s Choice Award. This is the only category voted on by the general public online. Voting is expected to commence later this month.
