Saturday, August 26, 2017 – Photos of Fall River’s Bodo de Leite and Ethnographic Parade which started at the Fall River Portas da Cidade (City Doors), traversed Columbia Street and South Main Street, toward Kennedy Park, where milk and sweet bread were distributed to all present “In Praise of the Divine Holy Ghost”

The 31st annual Great Feast of The Holy Ghost has been a tradition in Fall River since 1986. in Fall River. The feast attracts an estimated 250,000 visitors over a 5 five day period. The tradition started in the 13th century with Queen Saint Isabel of Portugal who was known for feeding the poor.
